Bitcoin Adoption Fund launched by Japan’s $500B Nomura bank

The Bitcoin Adoption Fund will have long-only exposure to Bitcoin and be available to institutional investors. Japan’s largest investment bank, Nomura’s digital asset subsidiary Laser Digital Asset Management, has launched a Bitcoin Adoption Fund for institutional investors. The official announcement noted that the Bitcoin (BTC)-based fund will be the first in a range of digital adoption investment solutions that the firm plans to introduce. Nomura is a Japanese financial giant with over $500 billion worth of assets and offers brokerage services to leading institutional investors. 21Shares responds to bear market with crypto winter ETP

The Swiss crypto ETP issuer wants to make it easier for investors to get exposure to Bitcoin amid extreme fear on the market. 21Shares, a global issuer of crypto exchange-traded products (ETP), is taking action to respond to the current bear market by launching crypto winter-focused investment tools. The company has rolled out the 21Shares Bitcoin Core ETP (CBTC), an ETP specifically designed to offer low-cost exposure to Bitcoin (BTC) am to the ongoing market sell-off. The physically-backed Bitcoin ETP started trading on the SIX Swiss Exchange on June 29, with a total expense ratio of 21 basis points, selected to reflect the 21 million cap on Bitcoin. According to the firm, CBTC’s ratio is 44 basis points below the next lowest product on the market. SEC's first deadlines to approve 7 Bitcoin ETFs coming over the next week

Analysts say the best-case scenario is the SEC approves the batch of spot Bitcoin ETFs but it may also exercise its right to an appeal. The United States Securities and Exchange Commission is facing its first deadlines to decide on seven new Bitcoin (BTC) spot exchange-traded fund applications with the latest being Sept. 4 amid its defeat to Grayscale Investments in a U.S. federal appeals court. Investment firm Bitwise will learn if its ETF will win the SEC’s approval on Sept. 1 while BlackRock, VanEck, Fidelity, Invesco and Wisdomtree will all be awaiting the SEC’s decision for their funds by Sept. 2, according to several SEC filings. BlockFi in no immediate danger, despite Silicon Valley Bank exposure: Report

Christine Okike, a lawyer representing BlockFi at its bankruptcy hearing claimed that BlockFi is not in immediate danger and has sufficient funds to continue operating normally. According to a lawyer representing the bankrupt crypto lender BlockFi Inc.,the company is in a stable financial position with access to ample cash reserves, despite having over $200 million in exposure to Silicon Valley Bank, Bloomberg reported.
